CHAPEL HILL — North Carolina baseball has made the first of its hoped for Sunday two-step in the NCAA Tournament.
The Tar Heels held off Georgia 6-5 in an afternoon elimination game, setting up a rematch against VCU in the Chapel Hill Regional final at Boshamer Stadium. Start time for the nightcap is 6:06 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ACC Network.
UNC coach Scott Forbes will finish serving a two-game suspension stemming from his ejection during VCU’s eventful 4-3 defeat of North Carolina on Saturday night.
