Spider-Man: No Way Home Re-Release Poster Finally Gives Fans What They Want – MovieWeb

It has taken a long time to see a Spider-Man: No Way Home poster featuring Holland, Maguire and Garfield, but fans have finally got what they wanted.
It took a long time for Marvel Studios and Sony to acknowledge the many returning faces in Spider-Man: No Way Home and include them in marketing images and posters. Now with a new extended cut of the movie heading to theaters, featuring 11 minutes of unseen footage, the time has finally come for Marvel to give fans the epic poster that have been calling out for featuring all the main players from the movie, including all three Spider-Men, four villains and even Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock.
Spider-Man: No Way Home became the first mega-hit movie of the Covid pandemic, blasting up the chart to sit alongside Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War as one of the highest grossing films of all time. Of Marvel’s Phase 4 movies, Spider-Man: No Way Home is the only one that has managed to deliver everything it promised and not left audiences feeling like something was missing or over-hyped. However, fans will be able to see even more of what they loved about the movie when it returns to cinemas with more footage of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, as well as more of its collection of villains.
The new poster for the re-release sees Maguire and Garfield sharing the spotlight with Tom Holland, while the lower half of the main section features Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Also included are the movies rogue’s gallery of villains, the collaboration of who were another of the reason the movie did so well at the box office. Check out the poster below.

In a time when spoilers are unavoidable, the denials of Maguire and Garfield about their involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home, even after the movie’s release, were not really bought into by anyone. As well as many rumors, the months leading up the movie’s release in December 2021 also saw a number of images being leaked of both Garfield and Maguire in costume on a blue-screen set. Strangely at the time, many were quick to debunk the images as fake or doctored in some way, but deep down it was clear that the images were genuine and the inclusion of the old Spider-Man actors was on the cards.
While there will be many fans who are pleased to see Spider-Man: No Way Home swinging back into theaters, how much of the re-release is down to Sony looking to recoup a little more revenue after the disappointment that was Morbius earlier this year is something that has to be considered as a reason for the film to be heading back to the big screen so soon. It is unlikely that the re-release will see quite the same attention that its original release did, but there are very few big movies to compete with on September 2, and with fans eager to lap up every bit of Spider-Man action they can get their hands on, interest in those additional 11 minutes will potentially see the movie creep ever higher in the all-time grossing list.
